Lyric was shocked at what Jeremiah had just told her. She knew he looked familiar to her, but now she realized that it was because he and his sister looked alike. What were the chances that Alicia’s brother would be the guy she met and fell for? However small those chances were, that was the reality of the situation, and it wasn’t good. She knew from what Jeremiah was telling her that Alicia didn’t want Lyric dating him, and she could understand why. She had actually bragged to the young girl about playing games with men. But she had changed. She really did care for Jeremiah.

Instead of thinking about how she was going to fuck Alicia up for lying on her, her mind was busy trying to think of how she was going to explain herself to Jeremiah in a way that he understood. As she tried to tell her side of the story, Musiq’s voice bragged from the speakers, letting her know that the love he had would never change.

“I didn’t know Alicia was your sister. She always talked about her brother being out to sea, but I thought he was in the Navy or something,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. They had driven to a secluded area near a lake and were sitting in his SUV. He told her he needed to talk to her, but this wasn’t what she expected.
